I think it's digital stamps. I've been seeing them alot lately and I've started using them myself:)

Congratulations !!! Wow that is a lot of hits. I don't think this is new but I hope a great trend...using your scraps and odd supplies to make projects, great way to used what you have with maybe a few new things added in.

I agree with Penny, digital stamps, maybe even printers and inks that are geared to stampers...but I think I will never give up my, get your hands dirty, ink and acrylic :-)
Congrats on 75,000 hits..wow!

Congrats on the hits! Digital kits - either scrapbooking or tags you can print and cut out.. those are getting big.

Congrats on 75,000 hits! wow! I've only made about a dozen of those since I just recently found you!lol Seems like 'going green' and 'recycling' are big these days. Maybe we can 'recycle' some of the piles of stuff we already have!!!

Congratulations Aaron! I check your site everyday and have been for some time...I love it! I think one of the big trends is organization...Someone is always coming up with something that is supposed to help us keep our areas organized....I don't know if I've found a "system" that works for me yet though : ) Terrie in Az!

There is so many different twists and turns within the scrapbooking and stamping community. I think plaids are about to make a major comeback along with carosel horses. It wouldn't surprise me either if they came out as digital images. JMHO!

Congratulations on the hits!!

As for trends, I am loving vintage images. I am also seeing tons of buttons everywhere. I see lots of digi stuff, but I haven't jumped on that yet...still like my stamps and ink!

I love your site and am grateful for all your inspiring artwork! I've been seeing more dandelions and weeds made beautiful everywhere lately. . . maybe they're the new trend after mushrooms and owls??? Who know? I do think it will be something natural.

I think the next trend is digital images, I for one love them. But I still love my acrylix better. Congrats on your hits. I love all your artwork. Thanks for sharing with us all.

For a while scrappers were using all kinds of "stuff" on their pages. Things that wouldn't pass the archival test. Then companies made equivalent items that were safe to use. But now I see card makers and scrappers using really eclectic items and I think they'll just get bigger. Tree bark...rocks...earthy things especially.

Congrats on all of the hits!! That is really exciting. Well I have to agree with all of the digital comments. So much has gone digital and I think that even more scrapbooking supplies and techniques are going to go digital. Personally I love hands on scrapbooking but who knows, I may have to try digital out!!

Pearlann66 said...

congrats on the big hits!!
I am seeing a lot of digital images, I don't know much about them but they seem like a good idea.

I agree with the digital and think that maybe more alcohol inks will come into play than what we have out there already.

Congrats on 75,000 hits..that is amazing! Keep on with the great ideas and inspiration!

I think it will be origami art:)

Congratulations! 75,000 hits is awesome! I think a big trend (that has already started, but seems to be getting bigger) is digital scrapbooking.

Emily said...

Congrats!!! I love love love your blog. I think its digital kits!!! I haven't tried any yet, but my friends sure love them. I just love doing it by hand myself!!

Wow! Not too much longer to 100K! Congrats on such a successful blog. It's no wonder with all the cool stuff you create.

I heard the CHA trend is going towards vintage again. Also recycling/repurposing looks like it will be stronger this season.

I think that something I'd like to see more of - and CTMH has really brought out lately - more Interactive pages - Flip flaps, hidden journaling - dual page layouts - Tresa Black did a video where she used a 9x9 memory protector attached to a 12x12...I can really see the use and people getting into doing more fun things like that.

I think there may be a couple of really big things happening this year. Digi images that can be colored in and used on all kinds of things like cards and scrapbook pages. I also think that a new cutting system that is very portable will be making a showing. There is a new one that will be coming out called the Gypsy and it is the size of a PSP that is so popular. That is my 2 cents.

Digital kits have been on the rise for sometime but I'm seeing more and more digital stamps.......guess it is a better name than clip art ;o)

Shari Dancer-Thomas said...

Its understandable why you'd have so many hits-your ideas are the best! Congrats! :D

Love your blog - always lots of inspiration! I think fabric is the new thing - fabric images on cards and as matting and embellishment for s/b pages.

waiseone said...

Congratulations! I follow your blog through Google reader. You are very creative! I think the latest trend will continue to be "earthly elements." Using natural items on your pages and using less as part of going "green." Keep all the wonderful artwork coming! You are an inspiration.

Crystal Pledger said...

Hoot! Your a popular girl with wonderful artwork. Congrats! Now, trends....hmmm...I think maybe we will see a combination of digital scrapbooking mixed with some papercrafting. That way the 2 can mingle.

JoleneB said...

I think the next hottest trend will be vintage accents. Congrats on your 75,000 hits. Very cool! Thanks for a chance to win.

Alanna said...

Congrats Aaron on your 75K hits. You've got a wonderful and inspiring blog here. I love coming to visit and see what you've been up to.

As far as new trends, I'm not sure what will be next. I do agree with others that the digi stamps seem to be popping up everywhere. I also think that buttons are becoming more and more prevalent.

Theresa Woolworth said...

Congrats Aaron on reaching 75,000 hits....WOW! I'm thinking we're going to be seeing a lot more in the way of using simple elements and back to the early days of scrapbooking where "less is more".

Tanya said...

I thing the next big thing (at least in my area) will be CTMH :) Not too many people around here know about us or acrylic stamps. I'm hoping to introduce them to all of the great things that can be done with the my acrylix

Congrats on 75,000!!!!
I think we'll see a lot more recycled products being used!!!

Congratulations on the success of your blog. I can't remember how I came across it, but I check daily for your beautiful paper crafting. You have so many wonderful ideas! As for the new trends in paper crafting... I am liking the interactive elements to use in scrapbook layouts. I also enjoy using dimentional elements in cards and scrapbook layous and I can only imagine the new trends that might come out along these lines.

Laura Petruso said...

Love your blog! I believe there will be a trend of using what you have in new ways... kind of 'retro scrapbooking'- using buttons, brads, and old paper in new ways. Everyone is looking to save money these days.

Stephanie said...

CONGRATS on your 75000 hits!
492 of them were from me LOL
I think it could be retro art... from retro kids images to vintage 50s pop art images to roaring 20s parisienne images ... also I think self adhesive cloth flowers, lace flowers, and ribbon flowers will be appearing as new funky embellies.

Memories By Me said...

I visit you blog daily and thank you so much for helping me keep my mojo!!! I think that scrapbooking is going to go towards the green side of things. Recycled embellishments and papers... those kinds of things!!

Congratulations on your success!

I think the next big thing will be cow images. They are udderly adorable!

Sheila H said...

I love your site! I think digital kits are the future, but I love hand stamping!

Tertia said...

I think digi id the way forward. Somehow that makes me sad, I like getting dirty!

Shan said...

Digi stamps and Scrapbooking are on the rise and I think will make a big try to over take traditional scrapping. "GO GREEN" seems to be a biggy. As as items such as owls being big, I think under the sea creatures will be big as well as a world themed items (like China dolls, steins from Germany). Im totally guessing tho. Congrats of the big #'s I always love stopping in and seeing what you've done!

It's My Story and I'm Sticking To It said...

That is awesome about all the hits, and I see why, your artwork is fabulous. I know people like getting their hands on paper, but digital is so much easier. I think that digital stamps and cutters are the biggest thing going now. And then just add the colors with the CTMH inks.

yael said...

congrats on hitting 75000 - that's awesome and thanks for the chance to win - you're so generous (-:
i thing digital in all it's forms will make a huge impact soon - it's already started with digi layouts and stamps and i think will just get better and bigger -

Tanaia said...

Congrats, as for trends I would have to say something digitial, technology is always on the movie. I haven't taken up digi scrapbooking yet, but maybe something will come up that will tickle my fancy :)

Cilla said...

Congratulations on 75,000 hits! That is just fabulous. I love checking out your site and seeing all your inspiring creations.

I think the next scrapbooking trend is going to be a return to the vintage or shabby look. I also think scrappers and stampers are looking for more portability and I think we are going to see more products geared to that.

Kathi Carlson said...

Congratulations on your 75,000 hits, Aaron! Your blog and your creations are top-notch!

sue said...

I think that next big trend will be to green scrapbooking. Recyled materials.

April said...

Fabric is the next big trend, you can already see it in felties and flowers. I think paper crafters love the texture.

Em said...

Thanks for such a great blog to inspire me and many others!!
I would like to see a trend form where there are more stamps/papers of a popart or comic book style.
That would be so cool.

Jenn Embry said...

I agree that digi stamps are becoming quite popular. I've seen some cute digi images, but to me I can't get past thinking that they are glorified clip art!

I think they are popular because they are economical. That I think is the biggest trend to come - using what you have and re-purposing other items to make into something new and useful. Going green has become a way to save the pocketbook along with mother earth. All of a sudden it is very chic and cool.

Kristin said...

Congratulations on 75,000 hits!!!! I love your blog! I think that one of the latest trends is nature/ organic images - owls, trees, flowers, etc. Which I love!!! I also love the colors that go along with that theme.

Heather Plotzke said...

Earthy 70's style is so popular right now with the owls and colors. I think that will make way to the brighter 80's colors in the next year with the wild patterns etc.
