In honor of March

Good Morning Blog Friends!

Can you believe that March is just a few days away? Around here it's starting to show signs of spring-the wind in Lubbock can sure blow, and it started about 2 weeks ago. Not to mention the today the high will be in the 60's. Yeah! I am sure winter is not over, but it a good start.

Of course with all the wind, Lubbock is a great place for flying a kit. In fact I saw a few flying last weekend up at the Tech Campus.

For this project I use a box pattern from Becky Roberts, you can find all the info here. I just changed the lid to a transparency.

Aaron, loved your video and your card. I haven't gotten up the nerve to do a clear card yet. Maybe seeing yours will give me the courage I need. Thanks for taking the time to show us how it is done.

New "Clear Card" Video!

ETA: To answer a few questions I have been getting
1. I get my transparency at the office supply store in a box of 100. (I use Office Max and get rewards coupons. The box of transparencies is a little over $21. I had a coupon for $10 off, so they cost me about $13 with tax. That makes them about 13 cents each and one sheet will make 2 cards.
I know there are thicker kinds, but this works for me.
2. Yes, Tombow adhesive works very well.
3 My bracelet came from the Brighton Outlet in San Marcus, I am sure it is Dis-continued now as that was a while ago and it was an outlet store.
4 I will do my best to post some pictures of my craft room in the near future so you can all see what was going on on those shelves behind me!
Good Morning all, and Happy {heart} day to you!
I finished editing my video last night and it's all ready to go!

No Lion---

I know most of you are busy watching the Superbowl, but for me it's a great time to craft. As of right now everyone has a full tummy and positioned in front of the TV. I cooked lots of goodies early today so I could spend this time catching up on a few things.

Paper Flower

Hello Blog Friends-

I didn't mean for so much time to pass between posts.... After the ice storm last week I was left with out Internet service. Still don't.
If you could only see what I have rigged up now. I am high jacking a signal from my neighbor (shhhh don't tell!!), the laptop is propped up on some books by the window on top of the bed. I am sitting on a little stool and using my mouse on top of the bed spread.
Watch this video, again, while you read the rest of my post-

I had seen several of these flowers on a few blogs and wanted to give it a try for myself. You can see below that I used a book for the thrift store for my flower.
I paid 99 cents for the book, and I think I will have enough pages for flowers for the rest of my life....
If you do go get a book, try to find a children's book that way you wont get any dirty words on your cards.
Check out this video for instructions on how to make the flower.

Here is a list of supplies from Close to my Heart-
Felicity paper collection
Bamboo Cardstock
Twilight Cardstock
Twilight ink
Brown Staz on ink
Desert Sand ink
Brown Button
foam tape
hemp
Felicity stamp set
Holiday hoopla stamp set
A tweet stamp set
Spot on background stamp set

If your wondering how I got the bird spotted-
I used the stamp kissing technique-pressing the bird to the dot stamp for the spot on background stamp set.

Have a great rest of the week!
