Color Me Monday Pinwheel

Until now, I can't ever remember making a pinwheel. I am sure I did when I was little, but as I started putting this card together, I had to do a search for how to make one.

It's raining here again, so I couldn't get out to take a good picture, therefor I think the color is off just a bit.

Supplies from CTMH-Outdoor denim CS, Twilight CS, Colonial White CS, Desert Sand CS, Pattern paper from Emporium, cranberry ink, outdoor denim in, cranberry CS, cranberry brad, holiday red sparkles, sanding kit, because of you stamp set

ETA:I don't know why that line is through the picture, I know my picture didn't have that on it. Must have happened when I up loaded to blogger???? does anyone know why?

One lone Tree

I see them often, a lone tree in the middle of a field, and wonder "has anyone taken this trees picture?" I did an Internet search for lone tree picture, and I do believe that the worlds lone trees have been photographed. My search brought up 173 pages of pictures! (This picture came from that search, I didn't take it)
This is my card for this weeks sketch for CPS.
Supplies from CTMH-Olive CS, Colonial White CS, Chocolate CS, Olive ink, Chocolate ink, Tree tops stamp set, True Happiness stamp set, Thank you stamp set, foam squares

a "love"ly Tree

This project is made from a lunch sack, the mini kind. The section with the tree is attached with Velcro to create a closure for the bag.

And I found this video, I know for me Michael Jackson was a big party of my younger years in grade and middle school. He was a little to freaky later in life for my taste, but I will always enjoy his music.
The moon walk is a true symbol of Michael Jackson and will be around for ages!

Gift Set

Target is really close to my house and so it is my store of choice because of convenience. The problem is the dollar section at the front of the store, well I am weak. There are always things there that I oooh and ahhh over and it's a bonus because they are only a $1.

Like I said I am weak.

I couldn't pass up this bottle of lotion, manicure set and body spritz in the yummy limeade color.

I used a modified template from Papertrey ink to hold all the goodies.

Supplies from CTMH-Key lime CS, Key lime ink, white daisy CS, white daisy ribbon, white Daisy floss, sparkle

These boots were made for walkin....

No need for a bookmark

In this house is a Kindle. I think the Kindle is the best thing since sliced bread. Why you ask?
When I first got a craft room it was understood that I would share with the books and bookshelves. The books and my craft supplies were starting to collide. I am super happy for the Kindle because that means no more books in my craft room.

I made this bookmark for the Color Me Monday Challenge.
Supplies from CTMH-Creme brulee CS, Juniper CS, Brown Bag CS, Cocoa ink, creme brulee ink, cocoa ribbon, paper flower, pewter brad, rubber brayer
Other-scallop punch

How to make the bookmark-
Cut a piece of Cardstock 3x3"
mark 3 sides in the middle (1.5")
score on the diagonal at the marks
fold to make peak
attach an extra piece of cardstock over the top of the two seams creating a pocket
embellish as desired

One single flower

The original card I had in mind had 3 crochet flowers on it. Because I chose to make this card 4x4, they wouldn't fit, so I opted for the one flower. I think I am sewing more on my cards these days, the reason.... I found a place for my sewing machine to be out all the time.
Who knows how long that will last, as I am always re arranging my craft room.
This is my card for the Color inspiration challenge. Be sure to go by and see all the entries.

Carmel cupcake anyone?

Well, I must be a 3 color girl. I have a hard time with color combos of 2 and 4, three just must be my thing.
This is my card for the Color Chef Challenge over at KJ's Stamp Pad. The combo is Bamboo and White. I think the cupcake paper with the scalloped edge and flower looks like a wedding cupcake, so I added best wishes to the bottom.
I stamped the icing in Bamboo ink, but it just wasn't showing up much on the bamboo cardstock. I went over it with one of my copic markers several times to make it darker. Now it looks like carmel. (Copic# E31)

I had seen this wonderful project over at Nicole Heady's blog seveal months back. I saved the files to my computer and finally had time to make one. All of the directions and info can be found here. I purchased the "magizine holder" template at www.papertreyink.com.
I just loved the Creative Basics Animal Cookies paper pack, and knew that if would work well for this project because of it's versitily for birthday, get well, thank you and so on.

Here you can see a few of the cards that I made. I gave this to my friend for her birthday with just a little note telling her to add what ever label she need to the red rectangle.

Here is the holder with all of the labels and stamps

All though there are only 10 card in the set, if you read Nicole's blog she said it could easily hold up to 18 card.
I also created about 30 diffeerend labels for this project. That way she would always find what she needed.

Color Inspration challenge

I tried to sew a really nice circle........it started getting messy so I just sewed the whole thing messy on purpose. I am guessing if it's a perfect circle then it wasn't done on the sewing machine? If you know how to sew a circle on the sewing machine you should be giving some lesson!!!

A gift of Ties

It's really had to tell in the photo, but there are 2 ties in this coffee bag. The glare and color of the ties makes it hard to see.
I stamped the ties all over this coffee bag, and let me tell you, because the bag was glossy it took a lot of patients. In fact there is a big boo-boo under the origami folded shirt.
If you want to make you own folded shirt, just search youtube, there are several videos.

I am not sure the colors are true in this picture, the cranberry looks a little orange to me. We finally got a little rain here, and I couldn't go out and get a picture. I waited and waited for it to stop, but as of this morning it is still raining just a bit. This picture will just have to do.
