Remember & a prize!!

To be honest this card almost ended up in the trash. In person it seems way to busy to me-but I kept it and left it with my display and a couple of customers loved it. So I thought I would show it to you, What do you think? I think the back ground paper is way to busy and should be a solid. Leave a comment in the comment section, and I will select a random winner and send it to you along with a prize!

A solid would be great, but I think the card is beautiful with all the detail.
Your work is always beautiful and am glad it's not in the trash can :)

Thanks for sharing with us..

I think it is very elegant. Try a similar card with a background not as busy and see if that would have been the better choice. I still love this one, though!!

That last comment was mine and I forgot to click the right button. I still love this card!

This is a really neat card. It is a bit busy, but I find myself just kind of staring at it and looking at all the elements, so in that way I think it works, there's a lot to see and take in, but not in a bad way.

That happens to me occasionally, too. I love the Stella paper, but that side is a bit busy for me, as well. I tend to like more solid patterns, like that Lagoon side, for instance. But, I think it actually works with the stamp set you used, and the elements combined make it an attractive card. :)

Maybe a little busy, but lovely! How could it not be with Stella :) Maybe just one patterned paper like the lagoon or the yummy red?

Wonderful things I love about this card: unique use of Stella (has not been a wowie for me as much as I hoped so this is GOOD), wonderful shape of card and love the Stella B&T to match shape of card, love the sparkles in random flourshes peeking out of the title/tag, Love the center antique photo and unique colors pulled together. Aaron, best I can say for the card that even if it's not your favorite, it has lots of merits and show case your diversity as well as glimpses of your growth and adaptions trying different styles and techniques. Sweet card that is bright and eye catching as a cute little note card.

Reminds me of Tiffany Lamps, ropes of bead necklaces, and cameo brooches. Nicely different!

Love the Stella quilt pattern but wish it could be scaled down for smaller projects like cards. Pretty card, but you might want to go with a smaller pattern or solid just to satisfy your own mind.

I absolutely love this card because it reminds me of my grandmother: the vintage prints, the bling, and the beautiful cameo. The "remember" sentiment is a hit that really focuses my nostalgia. Gorgeous!

I love this card just the way it is because it brings back a very special memory for me. When I was in my early twenties my dear Uncle gave me a cameo pin/necklace. Aaron, your creation is beautiful and thanks for the memory. BJ

I like the card and definitely would not have trashed it. Hindsight is always 20/20-maybe a solid color would have been better, but nothing is wrong with this one. Make another one and compare the two!

I think this card is beautiful! A solid would look nice as well but I like the pattern.

To me it is a modern take on a classic style. While I wouldn't have thought of using patterned paper behind - it somehow works!

Yes, it is a bit busy. But it does look like "grandma's quilt" in the background. So I think it is busy in a good way.

I agree - a bit busy but I like the idea that you make one with the solid and post them together and let's check it out :-)
So did you color our new flourishes? what did you use? I haven't bought those yet but want to! :-)
Thanks Aaron!

I think it's beautiful!

The first thing I noticed was the cameo (love the bling necklace!)... and that's the point of a "focal", right? Then I had to make myself look at the rest of the card. I really like it... very eye-catching!

I personally do NOT think it would look better with plain cardstock behind instead. I guess everyone truly does have their own tastes in art... some will like it and some won't... there's no pleasing everybody, so just please yourself! Make it the other way, and see which YOU like better! :)

I love it! The red from the border of the cameo is picked up by the background...I even like the jewel touches, and I'm not usually fussy about that kind of stuff..

Very creative, Aaron!

Aaron -

I like this card and really love the busy pattern but I'm thinking maybe its the busy pattern mixed with a curved cut that is throwing it off for you? I found my eye trying to "find" the edge of the cut on the busy Stella to see the shape so maybe just a square busy pattern bottom layer?

Oh Aaron, don't you DARE trash that card. It's STUNNING! I love the background paper! I don't think it's to busy at all! I have to get that set of stamps too! I just LOVE this card!!!

I think this Stella paper looks like a quilt and complements the image. Totally love these silhoutte stamps!
