A Season to be Thankful

Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone of you! I am truly Thankful for to be part of the crafting community. It brings such joy to my heart!

This card also uses the fundamentals. One side of the fundamentals paper has clear embossing. This is perfect for resist techniques. For this card I used a sponge dauber and rubbed over the paper with the same color ink. This gave a shaded look and made the pattern pop.

Check back tomorrow for a few more cards using the Fundamentals.
And don't forget to enter the GIVE AWAY! Head to the post on November 24th for the details.

Grateful Hearts Card

Can you believe that we are about to hit October? Where has the time gone? For the rest of the week I am going to show you a few Thanksgiving projects. Starting with this card. I really love the look of the wheat on the this card. It may be hard to tell but I used a peach colored marker to add a bit of color to the top of the wheat.

Happy Thanksgiving

CTMH has made several stamps with mixed font. I really do like the look of a script font mixed with a type font. This card is really simple just one stamp from the Thankful Heart Stamp and then a couple of the Pathfinding embellishments

Add a Tab

This card wasn't really doing it for me at first, it was OK, but not anything special. Until I added the tap at the top of the card. All of a sudden it added a whole new look to a card that seemed very plain to me. Guess What? That tab is just a piece of the Zip Strip from the Pathfinding Paper pack. It came pre-printed and decorated!
What's a Zip Strip you ask? It's the top 1/2" of the pattern paper with all the company info and colors on it. The best part about CTMH is that they only print that info on one side so the other side is decorated to match the collection.

Bountiful Season

What is the best thing about A-Size stamps? The price of course for just $6.95 you can have this wonderful fall leaf stamp. This stamp is called Quick Cards-Bountiful Season and it comes with just one stamp, but it is sure a good one. The fall leaf with swirls is perfect for Fall or Thanksgiving cards. I paired the stamp with the Flirty Paper Pack and some seam binding ribbon.

Make your own

Corrugated is all the rage right now. But what if you don't have any? Create your own faux corrugated accent with kraft cardstock and a paper crimp-er. You can see below that I cut an image with the CTMH Cricut cartridge and then ran it through the crimp-er.
I also used some wonderful rub-ons from the Mischief compliments collection. (wheat images)

Colored Pumpkins

I really like to use my watercolor pencils, it makes me very relaxed. And I need relaxing-I feel like my November is spinning out of control. Every time I turn around I need to do something or I have forgotten to do something. I guess it's just the hustle and bustle of the holiday season creeping up on me. I wish I could sit down and color for days on end--

Easy Trees-Really!

I cant believe how easy this card was to make. Those trees? Super easy! I started out with a piece of canvas and then using a CTMH marker and a ruler I drew the trunk and branches. Then I used a tiny leaf stamp to add the fall color. Lastly I fringed the edges of the canvas. So Easy!

Give Thanks Votive Set

I decided to really go all out and decorate my mantel for Thanksgiving-normal I might add a pumpkin or something up there and hold out for Christmas to change it up, but not this year. I made these sweet little votive candles with clip on tags. I have tons of these votive candle holders around, I use them in my craft room to hold buttons, brads and all sorts of things. I really didn't want the tags to be permanent, so I went with the mini clothes pins to hold them on. At the end of the month I can just pack away the tags and still have my little cups for my supplies. I think these would also be really cute at Valentines or even Easter!
Just for fun I turned on all the candles and took a night picture.

Ink: Goldrush, Barn Red, Olive, Chocolate (Close to My Heart)
