Back to School project

Well for starters, if you didn't notice(how could you not!!!) I am trying to find a new header for my blog. This one is just a little on the large size(but I will work on it)
This project is in honor of school starting today-a mini comp book, pen and a canvas tote to hold it all.
The tote measures 6x5" and the comp book is the larger of the small ones (does that make sense?)
Supplies from CTMH-Serendipity paper, Outdoor denim ribbon round, outdoor denim ink, die cut flowers, outdoor denim buttons, Twill stick stock, Sans letters stamp set, For every occasion stamp set, August Word puzzle stamp set, Fancy cut tags, colonial white waxy flax
Other-cuttle bug die cut, canvas bag, mini comp book and RSVP pen

Grocery List

Click the picture for a up close view-

I am so sorry these pictures are so dark, I thought there was enough light last night, but clearly there wasn't. This is a Grocery List I made using a note pad. (8.5 x11 size) I had the office supply store cut them into 3 parts. I asked the guy there to cut them into 3 equal parts, but they are not. If you decide to do this project, and have the pads cut, be sure to have them put an extra staple in the tops for you with their heavy duty stapler. Some mine starting coming apart after the cut, lucky for me we have a heavy duty stapler at my office.
Supplies from CTMH-Olive CS, Colonial White CS, Tulip CS, Desert Sand CS, Tulip Ink, Olive Ink, Desert Sand ink, hemp, foam squares, Treasure Life Stamp Set

Post-it-Note Keychain

This will be the make & take project at my upcoming Open House-I thought I would share the step by step directions for those of you who can't attend, or would like to do the project at your own Open House. The idea is not originally mine, I got it from Splitcoast Stampers, so thanks to Angie J!
This is the directions for the small Post-it-Note, not the square one.
Here are the supplies you will need. The cardstock measures 3.25 x 2" and is scored at 1 9/16" and 1 11/16". Color is Creme Brulee(new) and the scallop circle is cut with my cuttle bug!

Although I think the crop-0-dile is an amazing tool, it can't go through a whole post-it-note.
Divide the post-it-note into 3. (I just eye ball it)

Random stamp the cardstock.

Stamp the ring of dots on the scallop circle cardstock, and a letter in the middle.

Glue the Post-it-note inside the cardstock "folder". (I just put extra glue on the back page of the Post-it-Note to hold it in place)

Close the book, and use the Crop-o-dile to punch a hole in the top left corner. (I used the larger of the 2 hole punches)

Add a loose leaf binder ring and ribbon. And now you have a cute little key chain or add it to the strap of your purse.
Supplies-from CTMH-Colonial White CS, Creme Brulee CS, Creme Brulee Ink, Creme Brulee ribbon, Sans Caps stamp set, Magic Moments stamp set
other-loose leaf ring, crop-o-dile, cuttlebug and die cut, post-it-note

Scrap paper Card

I got lots of new paper from the new catalog, and I am trying to use up some of the other paper before I start using the new. (I know, that weird, but it's just the way I am. I have to justify buying new stuff)
This card turned out different than I pictured in my head, but I like it.

Well I still have no Internet in the house, something about a optical wire blah, blah, blah. They said it would be fixed by 6pm last night, but it still "no workie" this morning.

Birthday Card

I have been very drawn to the western paper packet from CTMH, but for me it's very hard to make something that doesn't have a flower on it. So I love the fact that this pattern will work for a manly or girly card. Now if just had an easier time coming up with manly cards!
All supplies from CTMH-Sarsaparilla pattern paper, Barn Red CS, Colonial White CS, Barn Red ink, Desert Sand Ink, Black CS, Clear Button, hemp, black bitty brads, With Love stamp set, From Me to you stamp set

Turtle journal

Here is a cute little blank journal I made up, in little to no time. I used a cut up cereal box for the front and back (covered with pattern paper and random stamped CS) . The inside pages are blank white CS. I used 8.5x11" sheets cut in half. So the journal measures 5.5 x 8.5"
Supplies from CTMH-Boom-di-ada pattern paper, white daisy CS, Colonial White CS, Olive Ink, Hollyhock INk, Buttercup INk, Liquid glass, Buttercup rick-rack, chipboard scallop circle, Fun Times stamp set

I know....it's that dang Lion again!

I know I promised not to post anymore lions, but PaperCrafts went and asked for Baby items using Baby Animals. So here are somethings with that little lion that didn't make in the magizine.
Supplies-from CTMH-Everlasting Paper Packet, Autumn terracotta marker, buttercup marker, goldrush marker, black ink, chalk, Life is a jungle stamp set
Other-buttercup ribbon from Michaels, Welcome Baby stamp from Limitless labels by Papertrey ink,
Onsie-Walmart
Black Staz-ON ink

Chalk board, and white Chalk from Target
hemp from Hobbylobby
For the onsie-I used Staz-On and CTMh markers. I will say that I did one for practice and then tried washing it and it did fade somewhat. I think it would wash out completely after a few washes. I am sure there are some markers on the marker that would work better.

Day 4 and some blog troubles

I may be having some troubles with my blog, not sure, as the Internet here in the hotel is a little different. Bev did say she was having trouble too. It will have to be fixed when I get home.
Yesterday we had a day full of classes. We went to business classes 1st, and learned some time management info and how to shoot better pictures. The we went to some art classes, and learned how to use some of the new products. I got some really great ideas.
I am just full of great ideas now, I am going to change the way I do my classes and workshops plus I will be really trying to teach all my customers how to use their tools.
Last night we had the awards banquet, with one of the best magicians I have ever seen, not to mention he was so handsome.
Today is the last day of classes, and I am sad. But I am also getting tired and ready to see my Dixie.
