OK, here a card using the new booking set. Now that I look at it, I think I got the words out of order!! Or did I?? I also used the new "bitty brads". I must say I really like them, but beware don't knock the container by accident, they are very hard to find on the floor. (Wonder how I know that??)Friday, April 11, 2008

Sneek Peek Birthday Cards
I have tons of stuff to do, but a box of new goodies showed up today, and well, I just had to make something. When I first saw the May Word Puzzle stamp, I knew I had to have for this little pepper. I covered the darker red one with liquid glass, so it's shinny just like a real pepper!!

And then of course I liked the butterfly too. I stamped an extra image and cut it out to make the wings 3-D, plus I added some glitter.
Now don't you all just need this stamp set??

Dixie
Well, I have a bunch of different projects that I am working on, but nothing is quite finished yet. So you will have to settle for a picture of my sweet little Dixie. This is a favorite from a few years ago, she getting older and has lots of grey on her now.
I will try to get something done to show you soon.

A box of Chocolates
The patten for this box has been on my work desk for weeks, and I am finally getting around to making it. It is so simple and easy!! Jen del Muro is the designer of this template, so Thanks to her for the great pattern. You can find the instructions here. On a side note, I do think 5 chocolates fit better than 6, but I did cover mine with B&T paper. Give this box a try, and post a comment with a link, so I can see what you made!

Two cards
Sorry for the lack of posts lately, when your in the landscape and irrigation business spring is a busy time. The last couple of evenings I have been too tired to work on much. I have been working on some things for submissions, and if they don't get in I will show them next week. I also am working on a techniques class, and these are two of the cards I have come up with. This 1st one is Monochromatic color and dry embossing.
This card is for learning about second and 3rd generation stamping plus stamping on transparencies.
I plan to work on some more items for the craft fair next weekend, so I will post those on Sunday sometime.
Enjoy your weekend!!

Band-aid tin
Tuesday, April 1, 2008

For this card I used a creative clip as the body for the Butterfly! I covered the bottom half with sassy strands to make her look fuzzy.
Here wings are from a large paper flower. I painted over the petals with pearl paint and the poured prisma glitter over the paint. Can you see it "twinkling?"
