Pink and Green Christmas
This time of the year when you head into the craft stores you see lots of Christmas trees all decorated up. I always love the funky color combos for Christmas, like pink and green or Blues and greens. This card was inspired by those trees in the stores.
Have a great weekend, and Please remember that the bidding for the Pink Ribbon cards ends tonight. These cards are wonderful, and the proceeds are going to a great cause in honor of a great lady. Scroll down a few post to see them!!

Book Review: The Sweetheart of Prosper County
A few weeks back I visited my parents, and while there the battery on my kindle died and I hadn't brought the cord. My mom keeps lots of books around (she teaches middle school reading, so they are mostly young adult) I picked up this one and read a few chapters while there. After I finished my last book I decided to download this book and finish reading it. It's a really cute story, reminds me of my own days in high school FFA. The main character, Austin Grey decides to raise a chicken for her county fair project, a roster. She names the roster Charles Dickens. It made me smile to think of "Charles Dickens the Chicken" Austin is dealing with a lot of things, the death of her father, her mothers depression and then regular high school problems. The book is a quick read and has a great, feel good ending. You can read more here.

Baby's First Year
One of my college roommates is expecting her 1st baby in November, and her baby shower was this past weekend. I made this journal for her and decorated a date stamp to go along with it. I also made the card below.
You see those blue clouds? In person they were much more neon!! I decided I wanted them to be glittery so I used some of CTMH glitter glue over the top and rub it in with my finger. FYI, it turns Pacifica blue ink NEON blue!! I went a head and left it, but I will know next time to test 1st!!
(This card was inspired by this card. The sentiment stamp on this card is from Papertrey ink)

Holly Cards in a Round Box
Today I have a fun set of Holly Christmas cards. I used CTMH Stamp A Holiday--this stamp rocks for 2 reasons 1-its $6.95 and 2-if you have the CTMH Art Philosophy cricut cartridge, it cuts the leaves and the circles!! Awesome!
As for this great box? You would never guess that I got the circle box at the grocery store! Below you can see that I used the Laughing Cow Cheese box and a little paint! On top of a great box the cheese is soooo yummy!!
1st I peeled off as much of the label as I could. Then I covered it with some deep grey paint. (If you are going to use a light color of paint, you might want to paint it white first to help cover up the dark parts of the label that wont come off)
And in case you were wondering about that fun ribbon, I created it myself by stamping on it!!

Congrats on Your New Home
What better gift for a new home owner than a bottle of wine. Below you will see a card and a wine bottle tag.
Here is how I created the tag. I cut 2 tags from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge. Then I scored and folded the cardstock tag. I used the pattern tag to cut apart and glue to the top of the flap.
I used a scrap piece of pattern paper in the the cut out of the house. Before I glued down the flap I added a piece of hemp to hang the tag on the wine bottle. Lastly I a bling brad to the tag.

Book Review:Barefoot
I finished this book last week. You can find all the details on the book here. I enjoy this book well enough. After the the Outlander series its hard to be inspired by any book, but I am not giving up! This book deals a lot with the efects of cancer; the cancer patient and those around them. This is not a fast pace book, its a slow and gentle journey through each of the characters life. The problem I had was that I didn't like some of the characters faults. I suppose that is to make you relate with the characters. In the end, things are left unfinished, and I don't deal with that well at all. Overall I like the book, but just not as exciting as I would normally read.

Friends
Clear cards....so hard to photograph, but so fun to make and send. Isn't that little deer the cutest? He is from the Bundled Buddies stamp set. I also used the Cricut bundle stamp set for the flower along with a really sparkly brad for the center.

Fun Felt Pockets
One of the fun new embellishments from CTMH this catalog is a the Felt Pocket and Tag. For this card I used some post-it notes to mask the chipboard tag and stamped Santa right on the tag.

Sending you Christmas Spirit
For this card I used the 6x6 Kraft Cards from CTMH. I used the fun Joyful Jar Stamp as well, this stamp is really fun because it comes with lots of little things to put inside you jar. (I can't wait to use it for Valentines day and fill it will kisses!) Below you can see that I used on of the new foundry pins to hold a fun ticket shape.
Below you can see that I used the scallop part of the card to create a pocket on the inside. I added a Christmas Ornament and tag to my card.

A few more Halloween Cards
For this card I used some Martha Stewart glitter to jazz up the chipboard numbers, the lantern and to add some stripes.
I used a canvas button to "spotlight" a portion of the stamped image! Fun Look!
