My Favorite Things Part 2
Over the Retreat weekend we did lots of practice sketches and testing out all sorts of types of paint. It was fun to try different kinds of paint, trying them all gave us a very good idea of what we like and what we didn't.
Most of our projects were featured around the song "A few of my favorite things" we sketched copper kettles, woolen mittens, whiskers on kittens and blue sashes! After practicing we turned those sketches into art.
Check back to see those.

My Favorite Things Art Retreat
Back in February I got to do something AMAZING. I spent the weekend with Junelle Jacobsen! This woman is so sweet, creative and giving!! I had the best time and I learned so much.
If you want to read up more on Junelle here is her blog.

We started the retreat on Friday Evening and Junelle taught us how to make a painted scarf!
I started out thinking I would make leaves on my, and they soon warped into Koi Fish!
All of these photos were taken with my phone, so please excuse the quality!
Check back this week for more projects from the Retreat weekend

It's all about the Treat containers
I have some treat containers to show you! For starters look at those Peeps in the mini egg crate!! Don't they look too good to eat? I just love this! I found the egg crate at hobby lobby and then I used the Penelope collection from CTMH to decorate it!
This is the smallest, cutest milk jug ever! I also found it at hobby lobby. I added a few images and some candy and it's so fun!!

Watercolor Butterfly
These pictures came form my facebook page and Instagram. I made these as a quick baby gift and didn't have time to take staged photos of them.
You can see that I just rubbed some watercolor paint into regular white daisy cardstock and then stamped over it. I used staz-on ink to stamp right over over my watercolor once it dried. I did find that when I heated up the watercolor spot with my craft heater before stamping I got a better image (the paint didn't peel up)
This way of paint is fun and stress free- no staying in the lines!

3D Box with a Pink Bird
This is a nifty little box that cuts on the CTMH Artiste Cartridge. It's all one piece and when you glue it together the box comes with a built in lid! I can't wait to fill it up with a mystery item for my next class door prize!
