Delight

I have really been inspired by all the paper with text on them. They just add something wonderful to projects. The new paper pack from CTMH Grace has a page with typing all over it.
When I started this sketch for CPS, I knew that I wanted to start with that text page and stamp on it. I also like the lace image in the new stamp set called "Delightful Things" that I used at the bottom of the card.

Stop and smell the flowers....

We have never had squirrels in our yard until recently. Now the east part of town has lots and lots of squirrels. The one who has taken up resident in our trees is somewhat odd. (Maybe all squirrels are and I have just never noticed) It seems to be a bit spastic! I stop and watch it often, it runs and stops then rapidly moves it head around. Jumps strait up and down and then back up the tree like something is chasing it. It is all very amusing.
This bookmark was made for the Papertrey ink guest star stamper contest. I used the branch from the Christmas set and turned it upright to create a tree.
One of the cool things is that I stamp right on the chipboard. The piece was craft colored and matched perfectly.

A very fun color combo from Jeanette Lynton this week: Indian Corn Blue, Tulip, creme brulee and Cocoa. Be sure to drop by her blog and see the awesome card she made with a tree stamp as well.
As most of you know, I am a 3 color kinda girl. 3 just works for me. So I was very surprised when I added a 5th color to the Color me Monday set this week! Just a tad, but I needed my tree tops to be green. I just think this card is super fun with all the colors!

File Folder notepad

I had a heck of a time getting a picture of this. For one the auto focus was having trouble with all the white, and 2 I was too lazy to change the lens, so the 50mm was had to get it all in.
This "long" note pad is made from CTMH True fit folio. I trimmed the folder into thirds and then stapled copy paper inside. For the outside I added a small calendar and a place to write "to do" things. Added a side holder for a pencil.

Little Cowboy Acrylic Album

A really special friend is having a new "little cowboy" real soon and I made this special album for her. I had a lot of fun making it, after every page I would just get really excited about how it was all coming together.

A very special thanks goes out to Tresa Black, she posted an album she made, which was the inspiration for this album. You can see her album here.

All supplies are from CTMH except for some brown ribbon and the feathers. If you have any question just let me know.

Flower card

I must admit that for the past 2 weeks I have been working hard on submissions for a magazine call and I am glad I am finished. I stopped a few days shy of the deadline, just didn't have it in me any more. And I sent in almost 40 projects, realizing that I may be a little obsessed! LOL! I really enjoyed creating the card for this weeks Color me Monday Challenge at Jeanette Lyntons blog. I think is was the "free" creativity. When you work on submission you are given ideas and guidelines to follow. For the past 2 weeks I have been thinking and working the same. (except for one day that I spent on an acrylic album baby gift that you will see later this week)

Each time I create a new set of cards for my Card Class w/Originals book they instantly become my favorite. As did this set from the Moon Doggie paper pack and the Extreme happiness stamp set. For this class, we are going in order of the book 5-6 cards at a time.

Keeping with Nature

and trees for this week, I wanted to share with you a card I made special for my sister. She is so sweet and sends me a handmade card every week. I look forward to walking out to the mailbox on Wednesdays, opening the card and smiling at how creative she has gotten. I wanted to send her a little something to thank her (and ensure that I keep getting a card every week)!
I just love the look of a widely branched tree, and CTMH doesn't currently(*wink*wink*) have a stamp with that kind of tree. To overcome this I created my own by trimming thin strips of cardstock and then adding a leaf stamp. I also created a special pocket on the inside to hold the stamp gift.

Now it's a Christmas Card

When I started this card, I figured it would be a Thank you or Birthday card. It was not till after I pulled out my stamp set with the sentiments on it that I decided on Christmas. As soon as I saw the "Peace on Earth" stamp I knew it would be perfect on this card.
This card is for this weeks sketch at CPS.

*Learn*Study*Grow*

I created this large composition book a while back, I think for one of Papercrafts project calls. Following along with my office supply additions is notebooks and note pads. I would guess that I have about 10-15 spirals laying around and double that in sticky notes, grocery list pads and mini spirals. So of course it is only fitting that I should cover them all right?
