Whoo loves you

This picture is a lot over exposed, but I am still working on my photography skills. I can't believe that tomorrow is 2009! This year just flew by for me! I love New Years day-my plan is to spend the whole day crafting with new products from the CTMH catalog.

happy anniversary

I have said it before, I really like the card size 4.75x3. And I really enjoy the Little Squares pattern from the CTMH Originals book. The pattern calls for the middle window to be cut or punched out, but for this card I cut out all three of the squares!

Welcome Baby Boy

I have a friend who is having a baby boy soon. In fact almost all of my friends have baby boys, just one has a sweet little baby girl. I have a hard time making baby boy cards. I am always drawn to the flower stamps, so my boy cards end up really plain.

Calendar

Several of the Christmas card that we received at the office were calendars. I looked at their layouts and thought that I could make myself one with the CTMH Jan SOTM. I think mine turned out much better than the ones that we got with the boring landscape scene at the top.

Unique Person

I got this really neat mint tin in my stocking last year, and I came across it while cleaning out some stuff the other day. I made these cute little mini notes to go inside. Great for a reminder or a sweet note in a lunch box.
The mint tin's lid slides open, and the size is 3.5" x 2.25". It reminds me of lip balm that we use to get as a kid.

Here is a side view with the cards inside.

Don't try this at home....

putting fresh leaves on a card, that is. I really loved the look of the grey dusty miller plant on this card. And to my surprise the color stayed true after about a month on the card. Problem is-they are crisp and dry! So they look great now, but there is now why they would ever make it in the US postal system! Whoever received the card would be getting an envelope full of grey dust!

Birthday

Sometimes when I get a stamp set out and it stays on my work table for a few days, it tends to call out my name! As did this Treasure Life stamp set. Funny thing is, when I first got the set it didn't much appeal to me. But as do most stamp sets, they become my favorite.

I love them all. I wish I would have seen the November template sooner, that would have been great to make for people and give out around Thanksgiving. I'd love to see the October one in an A2 size. Good luck meeting your goal of three smiles!

On their last call for projects, Papercrafts asked for projects that used "scraps". For this project I used the inside part of a chipboard "D" as the top of the flower. This card didn't photograph well, but it is reall stunning in person.

Celebrate

I just love rub-ons, in fact I love them so much I have a hard time parting with them. The great thing about rub-ons is that they can be used on just about anything. Like a Rock!
This dragonfly is on a piece of flagstone. Note:I colored the wings with a marker.

Snowman Holiday Planner

Last year I made a holiday planner and sent it into the CTMH contest (you can see it here). And this year, I thought I would give it a try again. This time I used the Bind it all to make the planner more like a spiral. The cool part about this planner is the cover, I used a transparency sheet over the top. It is hard to tell in the photo, but the snowflakes are stamped on the transparency sheet in white and embossed.

CPS Sketch

I haven't done a sketch from CPS in a really long time. I finally felt like making something last night, and this is all I could come up with! It looks way to plain to me, like it needs something else?
I decided to post it anyway, because it is really all I have today.
I have worked on lots of things for project calls, but I am just not ready to show those yet. I prefer to wait till after the notification deadline. I know lots of bloggers who show there stuff and then pull it. I just prefur to keep it a secret!
Anyways, I start with Christmas tomorrow. That should last a week or so.
So Check back to see what I made.

Photos

The lack of crafting over the holiday weekend has left me with nothing to show you--But I will show you some pictures. This is real wild turkeys on Thanksgiving Day.
The Will Rogers statue at Texas Tech is wrapped the night before a home game. I went there to practice some of Photo class lessons, I guess some of the people thought I was there as a hired photographer, they kept asking if I could take there picture. I did, but I used there camera!

This one is out behind my house. I noticed that the sun set was nice, and went back to the house for the camera. It was to late for the sun set, but I got this shot.

Chistmas Cards and something neat!

Are you ready to start see Christmas projects? It is Dec 1. As if we haven't been seeing Christmas stuff in the stores since October-Right? This is a set of cards that I made for my Christmas Workshop.
Onto the exciting stuff. As most of you know, I have been taking a Photography class. I have know that there was someone famous in our class since the day we signed up. Anytime a classmate or the instructor post a comment about one of your photos you receive an email letting you know. Here is the email that I received today-

Heidiswapp just posted a comment regarding a Picture of the Day that you posted on 11/29/2008. To view this comment go to the Forum page at:

That is just super cool to me. I just love Heidi Swapp, I read her blog daily. Now I hope she doesn't think I am stalker! LOL!~
