Glitter Rub-ons are......

not my friend. If any of you have any tips or tricks let me know. I did watch this video and it helped, but I had lots of trouble getting the shape to stick to the paper. The "let it snow" card is for this weeks Unscriped Sketches challenge.

Supplies from CTMH-Jingle paper pack, Tinkerin paper pack, Bamboo CS, New England ivy CS, Olive CS, White daisy CS, sparkles, white ribbon, glitter rub-ons, holiday hoopla stamp set
other-tag, tan lace

Be sure to go by unscriped sketches and check out the other design work.

  1. I've been waiting to buy the glitter rub-ons because I worried about having the same problem. It's been pushed down the wish list...

  4. they're not sticking? that's a first! mine are so sticky that you better love the placement once you set them down! it's true that they can be finicky but the end product is usually worth it. love your cards!

  5. I couldn't tell you had a problem as your cards look lovely, but I doubt that I would be investing in something so tricky to work with.

  6. I think all of these are gorgeous! Great take on this weeks sketch. The snowflake on the bigger panel is fabulous!

I found that if I place my rub ons onto the spot where I want them, and then either lay my hand over them or rub over them with my fingers a bit to "warm" them up, they definitely rub off easier. Not sure if that works for everyone, but it works for me. If you try it, you'll have to let me know if it worked! :)

So glad you joined US again this week!

  10. Aaron, I wonder if it's the dry climate? Lubbock is pretty dry, right? I watched the video and I have a pack in the drawer, maybe I'll give it a go tomorrow and see how it works for me. I'm in a dry climate, too (Mesa, AZ). They looks like a great idea . . .

Beyond that - your cards are amazing - I love what you've done! I love the Christmas packages, too!
