This is my card for this week's CPS Sketch. My sister gave me some copic markers for my birthday, and I have been practicing with them. I will say that I still need lots more practice, but I am getting a little better. My blog friend Sparkle gave me some pointers, and it helped lots! I think she is the best at copic coloring by far. For starters I am trying simple, non-detailed images. I pulled out this Uptown Girl stamp set, that has been retired for years, but still one of my favorites. So I am still a colored pencil kinda girl, but I look for a few more projects with the copic markers coming soon.
This card is darling! Great job on the sketch. It's my favorite stamp set too...and it's hidden away all stained in black. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo bright and cheerful. Beautiful card and gorgeous colors.
ReplyDeleteI love the copics and TG for Sparkle and her links to great tutorials on them. I have learned so much. Who would have thought you would need to watch a tutorial on how to use markers LOL
Love that image and the patterned paper/colors you chose. IT's really super together! And great job with the copics, I'm still too chicken to try them! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for playing along with the CPS sketch this week. I am so thrilled to be the sponsor and I am having a lot of fun playing along with the sketches too on my own blog – http://allamericanstampers.blogspot.com. Hope you can check them out!
I love this card! The colors are beautiful. Wish I had some of that dp left. Your blog is always great for ideas and encouragement, so I decided to give you this. I know Rachel already gave you one, but now you're twice as loved!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card. I love that paper and you colored the image very nicely.
ReplyDeleteI love Copics, I have found that using a good watercolor paper helps me alot. The colors don't tend to run as much. Also if you are going to use several colors in a small area start with the lightest, and let it "dry" for a few minutes then come back to it. That works best for me. Enjoy your new toys and Happy Late Birthday!
