Book Review: A Thief in a Kilt

Scoundrel. Seducer. Sir Ian MacKay deserves to be called the 'Thief of Hearts'. Yet he is a man with a mission - to return Scotland's rightful king to his ancestral throne. But first he must find out the true identify of mysterious woman whose beauty and wit have dazzled the court... and why she is avoiding him. Can it be possible that Kate Templeton is an English spy? Though Ian insists that no woman has ever refused him, Kate vows to resist his scandalous charm. Leading him on a merry chase all over Scotland is the best way to safeguard her heart. Yet a passionate confrontation brings them together at last... and the only word on her lips is yes...

I found this book to be a lite, fun read! I enjoyed Ian's character very much, he is witty and funny. Kate shows up in Ian's castle as an English Spy, but he knows something is up. He sets out to discover the truth about her but instead he seems to discover that he is in love with her. It all takes place in Scotland 1400's, so they seem to talk strange at first, but you will get use to it. In fact it's down right funny at times. When Ian is anger or surprised he says "God's Teeth woman" and that just made me laugh and like him ever that much more. Well worth the read if you like love stories.
