Since I have started running, I have also been reading lots of running/sports type blogs. There is a lot of buzz about these shoes. You can find more info here http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/
I am not 100% sold as of yet.
(In my mind it seems it would be like running with flippers on!)
If you have tried them, let me know
Have a great weekend!
They look a lot like tabis that we have here in Hawaii. Otherwise known as reef walkers. I would think it would take some getting used to, especially the friction you will have between your toes. On the plus side, they do look very flexible and lightweight for traveling.
ReplyDeleteHmmm that looks a little cozy.
ReplyDeleteVery odd looking, but they do look very soft like gloves. I wonder if they can be found in shoes stores in the mall.
ReplyDeleteThose are the most "interesting" things I've seen in a good long while. Never saw them before. If you ever get some please share how they feel on your feet!
ReplyDeleteA friend of a friend of mine had some of these. He's an avid runner and heard the good things about them, but he found that they didn't work well for him. He's in his late 40's and has some knee issues and they weren't very good with the shock absorbtion you get with traditional running shoes. Made his knees hurt worse.
ReplyDeleteHe said they're great for just walking around though!
Hope that helps....
Aaron,
ReplyDeleteThey look like Yoga shoes! Of course, I do Yoga barefoot - but if I was doing Yoga out on a rocky beach or rocks or even in a field that had pokies, these shoes would be great! They would be very healthy for your footbed - spreading the toes like that. I'm going to check them out myself!
Thanks for the info!
