Where did the time go?
I haven't even had time to step into the craft room for the past week-
but tonight I finally see the light at the end of the tunnel!
So I promise to be back later this week with some art. In the meantime, take a look at this photo I snapped last week right after a rain shower.
We were having some questionable weather and I went out in the back yard to look at the sky. I spotted this little guy flying around by the honeysuckle so I went back in the house filled up the feeders and grabbed my camera. I got this one after about 45 minutes of waiting!

Groov'in in the garage
If you have the current (may/June) issue of Paper Crafts magazine(page 56)you know that they had a special section on Garage finds. This is a card I submitted for the call that didn't make it. I am not sure what those metal things are called (according to the man that lives her they are corner anchors for frames? I will just have to take his word for it) I really did find them in the garage!! (In the man that lives here stuff, but he doesn't know what they are called????)

Loss of Pet
One of my very best friends had to put her sweet Dixie dog(yes we both have a dog named Dixie) down because of Cancer this morning. She is so sad, and I can't even imagine how she feels.
I quickly made this card so I could get it off in the mail today. I also included the poem "Rainbow Bridge" for her. The thought of seeing a beloved pet again just warms my heart, and I hope it does the same for her.

Color challenge & a little preview.
I am just moving right along with some challenges this week. I really do love doing them, especially color challenges. I always think that the colors don't go very well together, but then it always comes out so nice in the end.
Today I am give a try to Jeanette Lyntons color me Monday set. Be sure to go over to her blog and check out the great things she created.
I used 2 new products on today's card- the butterfly stamp (from the customer incentive stamp) and the sentiment (from the Cherry-o workshop stamp)
Also-the ribbon is from a birthday present that I saved.
Supplies from CTMH-Garnet cardstock, vanilla cream cardstock, garnet ink, twilight marker, pondarosa pine marker, pattern paper from Felicity collection, liquid glass, prisma glitter

I failed....miserably!
There is a new CTMH Blog with challenges and I finally had time to play along! You can check out the blog Heart 2 Heart Challenges here.
Problem is, it was too hard for me! Well the one stamp part anyway! The challenge was to use 1 stamp image, 2 pattern papers and 3 embellishments. Me-I used 5 stamped images, what a rule breaker!

Some odd looking shoes!
Since I have started running, I have also been reading lots of running/sports type blogs. There is a lot of buzz about these shoes. You can find more info here http://www.vibramfivefingers.com/
I am not 100% sold as of yet.
(In my mind it seems it would be like running with flippers on!)
If you have tried them, let me know
Have a great weekend!

Book review-
I see lots of bloggers posting book reviews, so I thought I would give you mine-
I downloaded this to my Ipod, and listed to it while I ran. At some points I laughed out-loud while running!!!!
I found this book to be really entertaining, maybe because I was running and it took my mind off of how far I was going.
The story is about a washed up rock star who works as a college dorm administrator. She is really into becoming a Private investigator, and gets herself involved in murders/cases that are happening at the dorms.
A few times I found myself waiting outside my door to go inside so I could find out what happens.
I think this is the 2nd book in a series, but didn't realized it until now.
I will warn you, one of the very last chapters has some VERY fowl language.
I found it to be a very good read, or in my case listen!

Fuzzy Caterpillar
One thing about spring and summer that I don't look forward to is the bugs. As cute as this fuzzy Caterpillar is, I don't like bugs that much. I tend to have bugs in my office (and lizards as well) that really "bug" me!
For this card I used an older sketch that I found on Tayor's blog. I used 2 different pattern papers from Close to My Heart and I think they go together really well!
