Paper Flower

Hello Blog Friends-

I didn't mean for so much time to pass between posts.... After the ice storm last week I was left with out Internet service. Still don't.
If you could only see what I have rigged up now. I am high jacking a signal from my neighbor (shhhh don't tell!!), the laptop is propped up on some books by the window on top of the bed. I am sitting on a little stool and using my mouse on top of the bed spread.
Watch this video, again, while you read the rest of my post-

I had seen several of these flowers on a few blogs and wanted to give it a try for myself. You can see below that I used a book for the thrift store for my flower.
I paid 99 cents for the book, and I think I will have enough pages for flowers for the rest of my life....
If you do go get a book, try to find a children's book that way you wont get any dirty words on your cards.
Check out this video for instructions on how to make the flower.

Here is a list of supplies from Close to my Heart-
Felicity paper collection
Bamboo Cardstock
Twilight Cardstock
Twilight ink
Brown Staz on ink
Desert Sand ink
Brown Button
foam tape
hemp
Felicity stamp set
Holiday hoopla stamp set
A tweet stamp set
Spot on background stamp set

If your wondering how I got the bird spotted-
I used the stamp kissing technique-pressing the bird to the dot stamp for the spot on background stamp set.

Have a great rest of the week!
