As I say goodbye to 2009, I look towards 2010.....I have decide to make a few changes in my life and some of them affect this blog. Over the past 4 months I have changed my eating habits and moving my body more and more. The exercise part has become almost addictive, and I find that I want to spend more and more time running. In fact it has become a goal for 2010 to run a 5k and a 10k race. Not win, but just finish.
As of right now I post something on this blog 6 days a week, and I try to create all the post on Sunday afternoons and then just go back and tweak them the morning before they post. I also try not to type too much that way readers can quickly view the post and move on. I know as more and more people start blogs I find myself sitting at the computer for a few hours a day looking at what is going on in every ones life and craft rooms.
In order to get something on the blog 6 days a week I feel that I have quickly made something just to have a post, and it hasn't been my best work. Lots of times I made a project because I had to, instead of because I wanted to. I want to put the FUN back in my crafting. I have and I always will love paper crafting, I want to get back to loving it the way I did several years ago. You have all been so nice and commented on everything and I thank you all for your wonderful words! It really does make it worth wild to create something and share!
So, in 2010 I will be cutting back on the number of posts per week. Only posting when I have something wonderful to show you instead of everyday. I also plan to have more templates, step by step projects and maybe even some video tutorial. (I have to get over how silly my voice sounds when recorded)
Best Wishes for all of you in 2010!
Aaron - good for you for making changes to enhance your own happiness & lifestyle!
ReplyDeleteWhether you post every day or only once a week or even month, I'll always look forward to your posts!! Your ideas and projects are always great. Looking forward to seeing what you create in 2010!
Good for you - good luck in the new year! I don't always have time to check your blog daily anyway, so whenever you post I will be looking forward to seeing your artwork!
ReplyDeleteditto what Carla says. Looking forward to another great year and your wonderfully inspired artwork. I wish I could get out there and run like I used to. I'll be cheering you on when you get to your 5k and 10k runs. Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteGood luck on all your 2010 endevors. Wish I was addicted to exercise. LOL! Maybe one day.
ReplyDeleteThe fitness bug is addictive! I have found it too! And it's more important than posting a few words every day! Enjoy your time for YOU!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on moving more and making this change to find balance! I'll look forward to whatever you have to share in the future. Good luck with training for the race...I admire your drive!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree!!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Carla...your blog was THE FIRST blog I ever read and I always look forward to your posts.
Now if your exercise addiction would just rub off on me :0)
Happy New Year.
Way to go Aaron! Glad to hear when people are making changes to better themselves and make them happy. So many times, we all try so hard to please others that we often let our own joy fall to the way side.
ReplyDeleteI'll still love your posts no matter how often or few there are 'cause they're always fabulous!

A very Happy New Year for you! I have always enjoyed each and every post! Good for you for putting the fun back into the crafting !! I definitely look forward to anything you post and wish you the best in the upcoming new year!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I've never understood how so many people are able to give so much to their blogs---I've never figured out that balance. I just committed to my first 1/2 marathon. YIKES! It's so great to "run" the races {I'm REALLY slow} because it always means there's a reason to push on the hard days. Good luck with everything.
ReplyDeleteAaron, I'm so proud of you for taking a good look at what you are doing and finding ways to improve upon that. Congrats on your efforts to change up your lifestyle!
ReplyDeleteI will look forward to your posts whenever you can post. I hope cutting back helps bring the fun back for you!
Congrats on the fitness efforts, too! I know you will do great in whatever you pursue. Can you keep us posted on how you are doing?
Happy New Year!!!
