Halloween Gift Card Treat

I go to the gym MWF mornings at 5am and I work with a trainer. One thing you can't do is bring your trainer a bag of candy on Halloween (or at least I'm not!) So I decided to make her a special set of gift cards on tags. I downloaded the great image from CTMH- you can get yours here. And then I printed out 3 small size.
I created the band and tags based on this idea. You still have time to create your own tags!

The Creative Blogger

I have been nominated for the Creative blogger! by several other creative bloggers and I have a little story to share about that!
The amount of spam that I get associated with this blog is unreal. A few months back I set up a folder in my email where ALL emails with the word "blog" associated with them went to. That kept all the junk for filling up my inbox and my phone from dinging every 2 minutes.
Turns out I had been ignoring some of these requests to participate in the creative blogger and didn't know it So I first want to say how sorry I am that I missed out sooner.
Krista and I met a few years ago at CTMH convention. She had been on a retreat with my upline and the group of retreaters were meeting for lunch at convention, I was a tag-a-long!
(also Amy and Judy who's email I missed earlier)

So Now I have to answer the questions.

1. What am I working on right now?
I am working with the CTMH Snowhaven Paper Pack and trying to get all the projects for November blog posts done. I am going to do a craft fair in December and I need the month of November to get ready for it.

2. How long does it take me to create a project?
Usally not too long. (and that sometimes shows!) I like cards because they are fast and I can get one finished in about 30 minutes. That seems long for one card but I think most of that time is spent in the deciding what I want to do. The making is generally short!

3. What are my favorite things to create with at the moment?
Right now I am totally obsessed with Gold embossing powder! And then ofcourse stamps, they are always my main focus!

4. How does my creating process work?
I work by paper pack. I use the same paper pack for a whole month. All of my blog posts, all of my samples and all of my classes use that paper pack. It makes things simple for planning and ordering.
As far as a project goes. I pick a stamp and then I use a card pattern- either from a pattern book or a card I want to recreate from a magazine or the web.

5. How do I become inspired and stay inspired?
For me it's Pinterest- don't ask how many "pins" I have!
If I made one a day I would never make all my pins.

6. What is my signature style?
Is all "over the place" a style? I kinda just jump around and do what makes me happy. If I had to pick just one it would be structured.... maybe. I tend to go for a sketch or card design and stick to it.

I nominate the following for the Creative Blogger!

It's Your Day to Celebrate Card

One day last month I was completely out of Birthday Card so I spent a few hours making a whole stack of these. I used the Yuletide Carol paper pack and added a light blue as well as some washi tape. I love how virsitle the CTMH paper is, no one will ever know that I used Christmas paper for this card! This card was also inspired by a card that I pinned a long time ago. You can see it here.

Vintage Christmas Card

When I saw this stamp- Bright Spirits, I think I might have cheered with Joy. It is by far my favorite of the Christmas Stamps from CTMH this year! (I have I already said that about another stamp? Really they are all my favorites!) I love it so much that I am designing a card class with it next month!

Santa's Glitter Beard

This card was made when I was getting to the end of my Yuletide Carol Paper Pack. I really only had scraps left- Yay! I love using up a whole paper pack, it's money well spent!
You can see below that Santa's beard has some sparkle to it, I use a clear glitter pen to go over it.

Merry Christmas Tree Card

If you want to mass produce Christmas Cards this is one I suggest because it goes together so quickly. It's simple and very cute! I used the tree stamp from Trim the Tree.
If you wanted to add some dimension to your card you could cut the tree out with the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge first and then add it to your card.

Merry Christmas Santa Card

Stickers- they are one of those supplies for me that I can love them or leave them. My love for them comes in waves. One thing about them is that they can simplify card making, especially at Christmas time when I feel like I need lots and lots of cards.
For this card I used the CTMH Yuletide Carol Christmas Stickers- That Santa so, so sweet! A stamp of him would be pretty awesome, but that would mean lots of coloring, Sticker it is!
Here are the stickers in the collection!

Merry and Bright 3x3 cards

I am a huge fan of the 3x3 cards, especially for Christmas. Why you ask? They are perfect to add to all those gifts for people who do special things for you all year! I will add them to gifts for the house keeper, the mail man and of course the delivery man who brings all my CTMH supplies, he's here about 3 times a week. He's getting to be like family!
