Wonderful Garage Sale find

Be still my heart! Vintage ledgers!! I recently stopped at a garage sale on the way home, to look at vanity that was way over priced. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a box of old office supplies-phones, fax, tape dispensers etc. I looked inside to see if maybe there was a old stapler and on the bottom of the box was these!! It was hard to hide my excitement!! The grumpy old may who took my money said "these are not good for anything but coloring books now" I just smiled at him, gave him the money and quickly went to my car to do a little happy dance. Some of them still have the records in them dated in the early 80's. So here's your warning--lots of projects to come with these.
I was also thinking about packaging up some sheets to sale. Leave me a comment if you think you might be interested in owning some sheets of your own. And what size? I was thinking 6x6, which would make it easy and affordable for mailing.

All stitched up!

This week the challenge at the Heart 2 Heart blog is to use stitching....For this card I used the sewing machining to sew down the dotted pattern paper. After I finished I thought I should have added some green floss to the leaves, too late though I glued them down with liquid glass.

Looped Paper Flower

Paper flowers.....I can't seem to get enough of them. Pre-made or like this one, that I made myself. Its really simple to make-take a double sided (in my case I wanted the same on both sides so I glued pattern paper together) 1/2" stripe of pattern paper and foam loops. I used SEVERAL glue dots to hold it all in place. To create the center I added a big pile of Liquid glass and 3 blue rhinestones. Then I sprinkled the rest with prisma glitter.

{Happy Birthday Card Supplies}

Stamps: From Me to You, Felicity (Close to My Heart)

Sweet Moments Sketch Card

Below you can see how I created the stripe pattern paper. The original pattern had a little too much blue for my card so I cut some thin strips of olive cardstock and glued them over the top of the blue areas.

Happy Mail & Book Review

Last week I received some wonderful mail. This card with a wonderful note inside and stamp set. Before convention I was asked to create a project to be auctioned off for Operation Smile. The stamp set if from Jeanette Lynton and it can't be purchased. What an honor to get one~
I just recently finished this book-I am sure many of you have already read it, as it has been around for awhile. My goal was to finish it before the movie came out, and I finished it last weekend, just in time because the movie comes out in a few weeks.
I really enjoyed the book-it took me awhile to get into it, but once I did I couldn't put it down. I think my favorite pat was the chapters in Indonesia-I love the relaxed laid back life. I also would love to just be able to eat and eat in Italy, but of course I just think about pasta and I gain weight. I highly recommend reading this book. I will let you know what I think of the movie in a few weeks.
