Insides of the CTMH planner

The inside of the CTMH planner is a blank slate! How fun for those of us who want to decorate! I started off by adding some of the *new* stickers from the Charlotte line! How fun is that!
Let me show you how I highlight birthdays in my planner.
I used the CTMH watercolor set to paint in my planner! Yes you can!
I used some washi tape to mark off the area I wanted to paint. The key to this is to not use too much water. Your planner is not made of watercolor paper, but it can handle a little water and paint. Just use some less wet paint brush. (I also used a craft heater to dry it quickly)

A few more awesome features of the planner are the TODAY page marker-its clear and that's a huge bonus and it's the perfect place to keep the sticky notes and flags.
I use flags for things in my planner that can move around. For example below I need to type up the Agenda for a meeting, but if I don't get it done on that day I can add it to the top of my list the next day.
The planner also comes with a pocket page. It's great for holding planner stickers and other things I refer to often!

It's Christmas Eve and all the gifts are wrapped under the tree, but take a few minutes on this wonderful holiday and treat yourself to a planner. It will be in your hands just as the new year starts!
I promise to show you all kinds of ideas this year on how to use it.

Planner Inspiration Divider

At the first of each month I like to create Inspiration area. This is the place I stick my favorite quotes, things I love and inspire me. With a little washi tape and paperclips I have started my January divider as I get closer to the start of the month I will have it filled up.
For the inside cover of the planner I have added a few adhesive pockets (these are by post-it, so you know they have the best stick-up). This makes a great place to keep stamps, address labels, extra paper clips and notepaper!
The best part is that they are removable and cause no damage to the inside of the planner.
I also added a pen loop to mine. I purchased it from Amazon.

Now that you have seen the cover and the inside of this planner, I would really like if you purchased yours form me. Right now you can get all you see for $29.95 by clicking right here.

I am a Planner Nerd!

This week I am going to show all the ins and outs of my new CTMH planner. I really did do a little dance when I found out we would be getting this in the newest catalog. For those of you who are hooked as of this minute Go here to get yours at a discounted price. December ONLY
Today we are going to start with the cover. Even though the cover looks like it's just cardboard, it's actually a faux leather type material. Or at least to me it is. It's not thick but it does have a leather feel to it.  I did turn mine over and run my fingernail down it to see if it would scratch. It' bounced right back, so no scratch. That said if you do it hard enough it will probably tear.

Here you can see up close the gold embossing. Really it's more of a de-boss as the flowers are pressed into the cover. Below is a band I made for my planner. Most days my planner sits by my computer open, but about once a week I have a planning meeting so I do toss it in my bag. Sometimes I will stick papers or flyers inside that need to be addressed so the band helps keep it all together. If you are going to be on the move with your planner you may want to skip the decorative part of this so it doesn't get beat up. But hey, that's the fun of it- you can make a new one!

Here's How I made the band-
1. I used a headband. I have had these for awhile, so I don't know where they came from but any headband you find will work. I started out using the pink one, but the color was a little different from the paper I chose for my decor so I switch to the black.
2. I used two pieces of cardstock cut to the same size (I used a cricut shape) and then I decorated one of them. I am still loving the deer/gold trend so that's what I went with.

3. I sandwiched the two cricut pieces together with the headband in the middle.  I only added adhesive to the sides(liquid glass) and then I used some clamps to hold them together unitl it dried. My piece slides up and down the headband.

InstaLife Cards on Cards

Here are some sample of Cards using the Instalife cards. What a mouth full that is!
This 1st one is my all time favorite!! I cut down one of the 4x4 cards that said hello (infact I used the the piece on the cover of the album from yesterday) Those dots on the bottom half of the card are from my CTMH watercolor set.  Nothing better than using supplies to create mo own pattern paper.
After it dried I added some 3D stars from my stash!
Below are just a few more examples of how I used the Instalife cards.

These last 3 are a pattern from the CTMH Make it From Your Heart Pattern book. Taking the same pattern, but rotating it each time creates a whole different look. The focal point of each card is a 2x2 card from the Instalife Line!

InstaLife- So much more than just Albums

The Instalife line from CTMH has quickly soared to the top of my favorite list. Not only are the albums super cute and affordable- That album above will be a class in January for just $28! Be sure to go take a look at the whole line by clicking here.
So this week I have lots of things to show you using the Instalife line. To start off with the cards make great additions to tags. The 2x2 size is a perfect fit to a tag and with just a few extra scraps of paper, stamps and embellishments you have a unique project. The picture of this one below is not great, but it was on the way out the door and I snapped a couple of pictures with my phone.
I used the Enjoy 2x2 card to make a fun tag for this birthday gift.

Now how about a Give Away!!
Leave a comment on this blog post between Dec. 15th and 19th to be entered in a random drawing for a FREE Roller Stamp.
