I pulled out the watercolor pencils again! I started out trying a new technique, but that ended up in the trash. Went right back to my same ol' water color pencils and the water brush! I created my own box that fit the cards perfectly and even added a few of my favorite recipes.

Clear bookmark
Here is a bookmark I made last month, but am just now getting around to posting it. The idea came from Tresa Black, she handed these out at convention as door prizes in her extravaganza booth. I didn't win one, but I just loved the look of it. She was kind enough to email me the directions for the bookmarks. It's very hard to tell, but the book mark is made with a clear piece of plexy glass. The back side is stamped and embossed with white embossing powder. The front is stamped with staz-on ink. Lastly I dipped the edges in mod-podge and then sprinkled with pink glitter.
(Supplies from CTMH-White embossing powder, Western flourishes stamp set, friendship alphabet stamp set, Black staz on ink, watermark ink
Other-plexy glass, glitter, mod-podge, pink and white ribbon)
I had the hardware store cut the plexy glass for me, and then I used the drill press at home to create the holes in the top.

November Operation Smile Project-Christmas Tag Set
Were you getting tried of seeing Thanksgiving? Well how about Christmas? This is my Project for Operation Smile for November. Each month I am creating a template and a project specifically for the cause! Both the project and the template are for sale at my Etsy store with 100% of the proceeds going to Operation Smile.
If you look to the right side of my blog, you can see how much money we have raised thus far. I have a really large goal, but I know with your help we can do it.
For this project and the template visit
http://www.kabrown63.etsy.com/
Here is a close up view of the box. For the flap I used liquid glass and prisma glitter to create the snow.
The finished box measures
4.5" x 10"
This is a picture of the box open, along with the Christmas gift tags.
I used Velcro dots for the box to closure, but you could also use magnets or even ribbon ties.
The project contains
8-Large Square tags
10-Small circle tags
48-sticky tags(made w/address labels)
3-Folding Mini Card Tags
Here is a top view of the box with the tags inside.
If you are not into the Christmas theme, what about a Birthday set?
Or I am even planning on doing one with out the compartments inside and just using it to hold long skinny cards!
Once again if you would like the template to make this project or the templates from past projects-visit http://www.kabrown63.etsy.com/
All supplies from CTMH-Blush CS, White Daisy CS, Blush ink, embroidery floss, Liquid glass, Prisma Glitter, edge distresser, December Word Puzzle stamp set, Feathery Flakes stamp set, It's a Party Stamp Set

Blessing Mix
The Bugles are a symbol of the Cornucopia, a horn of plenty.
The Pretzels represent arms folded in Thanks & Prayer.
The Candy Corn reminds us that during the first winter, the pilgrims were allowed only five kernels of corn per day
because the food was scarce.
The Fruit is a reminder that Thanksgiving is the celebration
of the harvest.
The Peanuts represent seeds, the potential of the bounteous
harvest of the next season if they are planted & well-tended.

Too much detail....
This card has way more detail to than I am use to doing. Mostly the sewing!!! Like I have said before, there is a reason I don't use the sewing machine on fabric, I think it might fall apart! My stitches are so loose, and then I adjust the sewing machine and they are way to tight. I think I need lessons, or I should just stick to paper!
